Dr. Grandin shared her personal journey, emphasizing the importance of early intervention, hands-on learning, and career paths for neurodivergent individuals. She highlighted the strengths of different types of thinkers—visual, mathematical, and verbal—and the need for education systems and workplaces to recognize and nurture these skills.

She passionately advocated for expanding opportunities in skilled trades, reducing unnecessary academic barriers like algebra for technical careers, and ensuring that autistic individuals are given the tools they need to succeed in the workforce.
